CTB/Triple Chip

Designed exclusively for heat-resistant alloys, nickel based alloys, titanium alloys, and special cast tensile steels, all with high tensile strength of over 142,000 psi. The unique Amada ultra-hard, diamond sharp, carbide tipped teeth easily saw through materials previously restricted to abrasive cut-off and other less efficient methods. This exceptional capability often allows the CTB user to recover the full cost of the blade through savings realized from decreased loss alone. Exclusive Amada engineered tooth styles and face geometry easily overcome the high shear strength intrinsic to extremely tough space age materials. The CTB's specially selected carbide grade resists the low thermal conductivity and abrasion which quickly break down conventional bi-metal type bands. In addition, Amada's ultra high beam strength backing provides the longitudinal tensile strength required to transmit consistent feed pressure throughout the life of the blade.

Nickle base alloys: Hastelloy X, Inconel 625, Rene 41, Waspalloy, Nimonic, Udimet

Cobalt base alloys: L-605, Haynes alloy no. 188, S816

Iron-nickel alloys: Incolony 825, A286, 17-14, Discaloy, D979, 16-25-6(AISI)

Any new materials with a 25% or higher nickel-cobalt content.
